WHAT IS DIODE
A diode is a electronic component with two electrodes.which is anode and the cathode. basically diodes are made by semiconductor materials like silicon, germanium, or selenium. In electronics, a diode is a two-terminal electronic component that conducts primarily in one direction.
Diodes can be used as rectifiers, signal limiters, voltage regulators, switches, signal modulators, signal mixers, signal demodulators, and oscillators. it has low (ideally zero) resistance to the current in one direction, and high (ideally infinite) resistance in the other. A semiconductor diode, the most common type today, is a crystalline piece of semiconductor material with a p–n junction connected to two electrical terminals.[5] A vacuum tube diode has two electrodes.
